Public exams – summer 2025

The summer 2025 written examination period will run from Thursday 8th May to Thursday 19th June 2025 for GCSEs. After this date, Year 11 students will not need to attend Orchard Park High School for regular lessons. However, the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) and the awarding organisations have set aside contingency examination dates in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations.

The contingency examination dates are:

• Wednesday 11th June 2025 (afternoon)
• Wednesday 25th June 2025 (morning and afternoon)

This means all Year 11 students must be available from the date of their first examination up until and including Wednesday 25th June 2025. Please do not plan to be away before this date. 

Please make a note of the contingency examination dates in the event that an awarding organisation needs to reschedule an examination.

Year 11 students have a weekly revision timetable in place in the run up to the exams.

GCSE results day 2025

GCSE results day for this year's Year 11 cohort will be Thursday 21st August 2025.

Examination certificate collection

If you have not yet collected your certificates, then please collect them as soon as possible. It would be advisable to ring or email the Examinations Officer in advance, so we can make sure the certificates are available for collection from Reception.

Please bring proof of Identification when collecting your certificates. Certificates can only be collected by the named student on the certificate.
