Year 10 students speak out!

60 of our Year 10 students participated in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge.

On Wednesday, 60 of our Year 10 students participated in the Jack Petchey Speak Out Challenge, a programme designed to build young people's confidence and communication skills through public speaking.

This nationwide initiative gives students the tools they need to express themselves effectively and tackle real-world issues through the power of speech. Students learned valuable lessons in public speaking, including how to structure a speech, engage an audience, and convey their message with impact. The day concluded with students delivering individual speeches they had written themselves. Seven students were selected to perform their speeches.

From this group, one student will be chosen to represent us at the Regional Finals in March. Congratulations to our winners: Maddie, Niamh, Justice, Sophie, Lucia, Charis, and Marques.

Thank you to Ms Ruby and Mr Kalatch for supporting the day.
