We had a wonderful day welcoming our new Year 7 cohort for our transition day on Friday 5th July. The students experienced a day in the life of an Orchard Park High student and wowed us with their maths and singing talent. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone again for summer school on the 21st and 22nd of August. 

Our Year 10 dancers performed at the Royal Academy of Dance's Step Live event at the prestigious Britten Theatre, at the Royal College of Music. The students spent all year working with a practitioner from the RAD to create their piece entitled ‘Majestic Nature’. The group performed brilliantly and received high praise from the audience and the Step into Dance team. 

A reminder that on Monday 15 July, Equality Club are running International Day. On this day, students are invited to wear either: 

• Full cultural dress 
• A sports kit that represents an international team (not a league team) 
• Clothing in the colours of their national flag 
• Full school uniform 

The term ends on Friday 19th July. Students will be dismissed one year group at a time in a staggered exit between 11.50 and 12.10pm. Families will receive a text confirming that all students have left the site. Please remind your child they must go straight home and get changed into their own clothes before engaging in social activities. 

Year 11 students begin the new school year on Tuesday 3rd September at 8.25am. The rest of the school returns on Wednesday 4th September. We will remind you of this nearer the time.
