An excellent return to school
Thank you as always for your support in ensuring your child has an excellent return to school. We love welcoming them back and they have been great.
For part of the Easter break, we opened the school for Year 11 students to run subject-based revision sessions and silent working space. A significant number of students attended school to secure their exam success. My huge thanks to the staff who gave up their time to teach and support.
On Thursday we held our final parent event for Year 11. Teachers gave crucial advice to families and students around their individual child’s targets and Ms Coupland, Mr Baksh (Head of Maths) and Mr Gardner (Lead Practitioner English) talked through the offer, support and expectations at our school. It was a very positive evening marking the start of a very busy and very important time for Year 11 students. Next week they will complete their art and photography exams – we wish you the best of luck.
Well done to Equality Club for their superb bake sale to celebrate Eid. It was wonderful to see their support for the event, raising over £150.
Thank you to all the students who have completed our student survey. The feedback is important to us and we follow up on every comment and outcome. We will shortly be sending out the parent survey as well. We were pleased with the feedback in the Parent Ofsted Survey, but our own survey is specific to our school, so we always send this to you in the summer term. Please look out for it and take a few minutes to let us know your views.
