To mark World Book Day, Orchard Park students participated in a number of events running throughout the week: highlights included the creation of a book review podcast from students in KS3, as well as a bumper book quiz, a Fun Friday treasure hunt and a dazzling session of bookmark artistry.

The book review podcast is available below, from Samantha, Tina, Sai, Charis, and Niamh, and we hope it will be the first of many. Tina in Year 8 was the winner of our bookmark artistry competition. Well done, to these students and everyone who took part in the competition.

The newly-formed Orchard Park Writers’ Circle have excelled, meeting weekly to collaborate on a number of projects and competitions: the very best submissions from the club are showcased on the school website here, so please take a look at the page. Students can join us after school on Thursdays if they would like to be involved.
