Equality Club has organised many exciting and engaging events this term. Firstly, they planned and created a PSHE lesson on ‘racism and recognising it’ which was then taught to Year 8 students. In addition, a few members took part in every assembly for a week performing the Barbie monologue in celebration for International Women’s Day, along with many other fun activities.
During British Sign Language Week, last week, Equality club chose to teach students short and common phrases in British Sign Language (BSL), along with the way to finger spell their name within their form time and line-up.
It is safe to say that much is to come, including the Eid bake sale, which takes place on the first day back from the Easter break.
