Safer School assemblies
Our Safer Schools Officers delivered the Year 7 assembly this week.
Year 7 assembly this week was delivered by our Safer Schools Officers, focusing on safety related to gangs, exploitation and grooming. Students were told how to recognise potential harmful behaviours as well as where they can access support. The Year 7s were really engaged, as well as asking thoughtful questions. Please discuss this with your child, so they can share their learning with you. The assembly will be delivered to the other year groups next week.
Year 11 have had a great week, working hard in lessons, striving to fill their Character cards, a multitude of shout-outs in line ups and busy working lunches. Ms Coupland launched their revision schedule and she will be sharing this with families in a weekly Year 11 newsletter. A huge thank you to Ms Coupland and Ms Walsh for their relentless support and drive for Year 11: they provide excellent leadership and care for our young people at such an important time.
Thank you to all our Year 9 families who attended parents’ evening. Staff were so pleased to have conversations with you: they feel very supported and, consequently, very positive about the progress your child will continue to make with us.
A reminder that Year 10 parents’ evening takes place at 4.00pm on Thursday 22nd February on site. It will be a great opportunity for you to meet their new Head of Year 10, Ms Williams.
Our February half term is the week commencing the 12th. Families eligible for free school meals will receive their Tesco voucher via email.
I wish you a lovely weekend.
Ms C Moran, Headteacher
